Let's all go to glasto 💦⛺️

Glastonbury is the hottest uk festival, and the closest thing we have over here to coachella and it will be hitting Somerset this weekend. If you're not glamping it up in their wigwams, then it's time to begin physically planning your outfits (and headware to hide greasy festival hair). Obviously you can't take your normal beauty regime to a festival, it's just not realistic. What with the lack of running water and full length mirrors make look in good at festivals seem like an almost impossible feat. Therefore add to your festival essential of dry shampoo, wet wipes, toothbrush and paste and hand sanitiser a headscarf to double as a head band or turban for those days that even dry shampoo can't tame your mane, a bright lipstick like those of Topshop and MAC.
At £8 each the colour of these lipstick stays well and keep you lips mostirised too. Choose a colour that suits your style but is a chane from normal and go for it.
(£15).

A tasteful helping of glitter to help you stand out and cover bags and most importantly UV paint and nail varnish for the dance tents and silent discos.
Periwinkle is the lighter colour for Glastonbury. This allows you to shine tastefully and doesn't break the bank! (£4-topshop) It will also cover the bags obtained from lack of sleep.

Festival chick can be hard to master when the weather isn't always going to be on your side (unlike Indio, California).
Everyone wants to look like Kate Moss or Cara Delevinge at festivals here in the uk. So denim cut off shorts and big tshirts are a must! The most important point is, yes dress like Kate Moss to an extent, however you are not Kate Moss so don't even consider ditching the wellies for some fabulous heels and risking going jacket less at glasto this year.
We aren't Kate so despite how amazing her festival look is, a lot of it isn't practical for us lowly festival goers.

There is forecast of 0.5 to 1 inch of rain over the Glastonbury weekend, so I suggest snapping up a stylish mac from the high street that can be easily folded away or when* the sun comes out (*if the sun comes out) it can just as easily be tied around your waist. These ones from Topshop and Matalan are perfect:
This useful raincoat also packs into a little drawstring bag. (Matalan £16)
This mac can go over anything and not hide your amazing festival outfit! (Topshop £40)
The bracelet and fruit patterned Jaded London Rain mac's will make a fashion statement and you'll stand out in the crowd, allowing you to spot yourself on TV later. (Jaded London-Topshop £55)
Primark have saved all sticky, wet clothes festival incidents (which aren't flattering) with this waterproof play suit parka at a bargain of £9. Definitely a festival investment!
Wellies are another must I'm afraid, now this is where you can choose to spend on a pair of hunters which will last or save and buy a cheap pair that you can bin after.
These hunters are gorgeous and reliable, so a great festival investment and are versatile too (£65 hunter-boots.com).

Other little festival essentials (for which primark is good as it can be binned after without any tear shed as it wasn't too expensive):
These joggers (£8) are perfect with trainers or DM's for colder, but dryer days, paired nicely with a crop layered under a denim shirt and crew neck jumper.
Perfect for protecting those tell tale 'I drank too much last night' squinty eyes from too much light when the sin comes out and looks great too(£2).

This embellished bum bag is perfect with it's boho vibe earning you festival fashion points and allowing you to have both hands free at all times and your valuables safe (£10). Primark have done a whole range of gorgeous hand embellished festival bags ranging from £10-£18.
